Why Has Congress Betrayed Us? Because they can.

In 2006, we delivered Congress to the Democrats. It is no secret that represented a mandate from the voters to do something about the out-of-control executive branch and restore America to her people. Pelosi promptly took impeachment off the table. If you write to your representatives demanding action, you will most likely get the same canned response everyone is getting: we won't impeach because that would distract us from the other, more important work we have to do.

Excuse me? What could possibly be more important than doing the job you were hired to do?!

In truth, the Democrats won't impeach because they believe they are virtually assured of winning the White House if Bush/Cheney are still there on Election Day 2008. Of course, I think they're in for a big surprise, spelled R O N P A U L, but that's beside the point.

If we're going to clean house, then let's REALLY clean it. Let's give them a little fear. They work for us, and should wake up every morning knowing that they can be fired.

Recall Congress.
